What a roof inspection covers
A Blue Hat Roofing inspection looks at the whole roof system: shingles or roofing material, flashing around chimneys and walls, valleys, vents and other penetrations, gutters and drainage, and the visible condition of the decking and attic where we can reach it. We document what we find with photos, so you can see it too.
When to get a roof inspection
- After a storm: hail, high wind or fallen limbs can damage a roof you can’t see from the ground.
- Buying or selling a home: know the roof’s condition before you sign.
- As your roof ages: granule loss, curling and cracking are easier to handle early.
- When you see a leak: stains, drips or daylight in the attic mean it’s time to look.
What happens after the inspection
You get a plain-English summary and photos. If the roof is fine, we say so. If it needs a repair, we explain it; if it needs replacement, we say that too. If storm damage is involved, we’ll tell you honestly whether a claim is likely, and we never promise approval. Serving Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Kernersville, and High Point NC. Call (336) 505-7977.
Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a Blue Hat roof inspection cover?
We look at the shingles or roofing material, flashing, valleys, vents and penetrations, gutters and drainage, and the visible condition of the decking and attic where we can reach it. You get photos and a plain-English summary of what we found.
When should I get my roof inspected?
After a major storm, when you’re buying or selling a home, when the roof is getting older, or any time you see a leak, stains or missing shingles.
Do I need an inspection before filing an insurance claim?
We recommend one. A professional inspection tells you whether the damage looks like storm damage or wear before you open a claim, and we’ll tell you honestly if a claim is unlikely to be approved.
Will you tell me I need a new roof?
Only if you do. Many roofs need a repair or maintenance, not a replacement, and we’ll say so.
Which areas do you inspect roofs in?
Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Kernersville, High Point, and the surrounding Triad area of North Carolina.
